Dr. Scott Hewett, D.M.D

Dr. Hewett is the proud owner of Carolina Family Dentistry. He completed his dental training at Nova Southeastern University's College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the North Carolina Dental Society.

Dr. Hewett is a native to North Carolina and grew up in Shallotte, North Carolina. He is married to his wife Emily Hewett (pictured). They volunteer in the community together and hope to make a small difference in the lives of others.

Dr. Hunter Piermont, D.D.S

Dr. Piermont is our lead dentist at Carolina Family Dentistry's Capital Blvd location. He attended the Univervisity of Minnesota's dental school and now provides his expertise as a part of our dental family. He has a very friendly personality and takes extra time for each patient to make sure they are comfortable and understand everything he is explaining. He is a very welcome addition to our team!

Dr. Javeria Nasir, D.D.S

Dr. Nasir has been a wonderful associate at our New Bern Avenue location for over a year and a half now! She graduated from New York University's prestigious college of dentistry and continues to deliver the best care to our patients along with her cheerful personality and bedside manner

Michelle, CEO and Financial Manager

Michelle is our CEO and Financial Manager. She has been working in the dental field for over fourteen years. She spends her free time reading and writing poetry, cooking, and spending time with her two beautiful children.

Rosanna, Office Administrator

Rosanna is our Office Manager and Head Insurance Coordinator for Carolina Family Dentistry. She has been married for six years. Rosanna is originally from Pennsylvania and graduated from college at Western Carolina University where she majored in History and Theater. She enjoys reading and painting.

Kelly, Dental Hygienist

Kelly has been in the hygiene field since 2006 and received her licence from Wake Technical Community College. She is a veteran of the United States Air Force and an avid animal lover. She has an adult son, daughter-in-law, two step sons and a one "grandkitty." She enjoys reading and traveling on her Honda motorcycle with her husband.

Alisa, Dental Hygienist

Alisa is has been a dental hygienist since 2012 and is a graduate from the UNC Chapel Hill School. She is the sister of Dr. Hewett and loves making teeth shiny!

Delta, DA II - Lead Clinical Assistant

Delta is a DA II who we are extremely pleased to have working in our office. She started with us in 2017 and leads the clinical team to ensure they excel in all aspects of dentistry that we practice.

Floyd, DA II

Floyd is a veteran of the United States Navy where he was trained as a dental tech. Floyd also completed his BA in Mass Communication from Shaw University in 2014. Floyd also has a passion for music and has been a producer and musician for twenty years. He has shared his love of music, writing and education with his four daughters.

Ruth, Office Administrator

Ruth has been with our Capital Blvd location since it opened in 2015 and has been the smiling face of the office ever since! She is bilingual and will help you navigate your insurance questions and walk you through your appointment with ease. 

Jocelyn, Patient Care Coordinator

Jocelyn is one of our patient care coodinators at our Capital Blvd location. She is bilingual and is wonderful at helping patients make their way through their appointments from the first call to the end of their visit.

Pablo, DA II

Pablo was born in Uruguay and has been a dental assistant since 2007. He has a beagle named Jake and his hobbies are running and playing tennis. Pablo joined CFD in June 2012 and is our lead assistant at our Capital Blvd location

Sherika, DA II

Sherika is our most recent assistant to join our team at our Capital Blvd location!
